President Abinader will participate in the Closing Ceremony of the event at the Aula Magna of the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, the first university founded in the Americas, and the first faculty of law of the continent as well. At this ceremony, to be held on May 6, King Felipe VI of Spain and justices from the most relevant courts of the world will also participate.

Eddy Olivares has a solid legal background. Lawyer by the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo and Master in Fundamental Rights by the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain), he has always held positions related to his studies. Olivares is an expert in Labour, Electoral and Constitutional Law. He was Prosecutor of the Province of Santo Domingo and member of the Electoral Tribunal for ten years, where he stood out for his defense of the transparency and integrity of the electoral processes. For more than six months he has been working closely with the organisers of the World Law Congress, convinced that it is an extraordinary opportunity for the Dominican Republic to project itself in the world as a reference of institutionalism.
