The Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR) in San José, Costa Rica, was the venue chosen for the first Latin American presentation of “Sobre el Imperio de la Ley”, the latest publication by lawyer Javier Cremades, President of the World Jurist Association and the World Law Foundation.
The gathering brought together prominent figures from the international legal field, including Rodrigo Mudrovitsch, President of the Inter-American Court; Nancy Hernández, the Court’s outgoing President; Fernando Castillo, President of the Constitutional Court of Costa Rica; Pablo Saavedra, Secretary General of the Court; and Juan Ignacio Morro Villacián, Spanish Ambassador to Costa Rica.

The choice of the Inter-American Court for this meeting underscores the tribunal’s global standing. Considered one of the most influential human rights courts in the world, its jurisprudence on issues such as freedom of expression and procedural guarantees serves as an essential reference for supreme and constitutional courts throughout Ibero-America, where its rulings are directly integrated into domestic law.
This presentation in San José connects with a long-standing tradition of the World Jurist Association, following in the footsteps of its founders, Charles S. Rhyne and Earl Warren, who traveled to the region in the early 1960s to promote the mission of achieving “peace through law.”

Published by Galaxia Gutenberg, “Sobre el Imperio de la Ley” is presented as a contribution to public and legal debate, and as an invitation to calm and rigorous reflection on the centrality of the law in democratic societies.
This event in San José is part of a series of international presentations taking place in major legal capitals around the world to foster civic and professional commitment to the Rule of Law.
