On February 8, Teodora Toma, World Jurist Association (WJA) Executive Director, and Teresa del Riego, World Law Foundation (WLF) Deputy Director, presented the WJA & WLF projects at the International Scientific Conference «Transformation in Times of Transition: European Integration and the Eastern Partnership Initiative«, organized by the European Integration Research Center of the Georgian National University SEU, together with Lazarski University (Poland).
This is the fourth edition of the International Scientific Conference, aiming at addressing the transformation processes. The conference provides a vital platform for academics, practitioners, and policy makers to present their perspectives and engage in in-depth discussions on international cooperation, integration, and legal system development. During the conference our representatives had the pleasure to speak at the conference and introduce the WJA, connecting with the purpose of the conference through WJA’s motto Peace through Law.
In the framework of this event, on February 7, the WJA & WLF delegates held a series of audiences with Georgian authorities to explore different ways of mutual cooperation. The productive encounters included visits to different Georgian institutions, and meetings with the President of the Supreme Court, Nino Kadagidze; the President of the Constitutional Court, Merab Turava; the First Deputy Minister of Justice, Tamar Tkeshelashvili; the Deputy Minister of Justice, Prof. Dr. Beka Dzamashvili; and the Chairman of the Georgian Bar Association, Davit Asatiani.
