The Inter-American Court of Human Rights hosts the presentation of Javier Cremades’ book «On the Rule of Law»

The headquarters of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACHR) in San José, Costa Rica, was the venue chosen for the first presentation in Latin America of the book “On the Rule of Law”, the latest publication by lawyer Javier Cremades, President of the World Jurist Association and the World Law Foundation.

The event brought together leading figures from the international legal sphere, including Rodrigo Mudrovitsch, President of the Inter-American Court; Nancy Hernández, outgoing President of the Court; Fernando Castillo, President of Costa Rica’s Constitutional Chamber; Pablo Saavedra, Secretary General of the Court; and Juan Ignacio Morro Villacián, Spanish Ambassador to Costa Rica.

The choice of the Inter-American Court for this meeting underscores the tribunal’s global prestige. Considered one of the most influential human rights courts in the world, its jurisprudence in key areas such as freedom of expression and procedural guarantees constitutes an essential reference for supreme and constitutional courts throughout Ibero-America, where its rulings are directly incorporated into domestic law.

This presentation in San José revives a historic tradition of the World Jurist Association, following in the footsteps of its founders, Charles S. Rhyne and Earl Warren, who traveled to the region in the early 1960s to promote the mission of achieving “peace through law.”

Published by Galaxia Gutenberg, the book “On the Rule of Law” is presented as a contribution to public and legal debate, and as an invitation to calm and rigorous reflection on the central role of law in democratic societies.

This event in San José is part of a series of international presentations taking place in the world’s leading legal capitals, aimed at fostering civic and professional commitment to the Rule of Law.
